Planning A 2022 Wedding: Weddings, and Elopements

As a wedding videographer, my heart goes out to the couples that were affected by the pandemic and are trying to take the next step to have the wedding of their dreams. As you plan your future wedding, you may wonder what to do in a post-pandemic world. A lot of couples are looking at non-traditional options for their special day and I wanted to share some unique ideas for your wedding that just might make you think differently about your wedding day.

As we enter into the new year, I wanted to offer some suggestions of what your wedding day could look like and what the wedding videos could look like from each.

SMALLER, INTIMATE WEDDINGS

Smaller, intimate weddings are great because they’re less stressful and you get to enjoy your day with a close group of friends and family (you know the ones that you actually talk to, not your uncle that likes your Facebook posts and you haven’t had a legitimate conversation within 10 years).

A small, intimate wedding allows you to have the most important people there as you focus on your and your significant other’s relationship. As a wedding videographer located in Utah, I know there are some gorgeous places where you can have your wedding!

A great reason to hire a wedding videographer is that most have options for live streaming for those who aren’t able to come or to share your day without having a large group. In addition to a highlight film of your day, finding a wedding videographer who offers full ceremony edits, speeches/toasts edits, and more is something to consider when hiring someone for your wedding day. But also someone whose philosophies around wedding videos align with your values.

WEEKDAY WEDDINGS

Weekday Weddings are typically not considered, but vendors you love are usually more available during the week. Availability generally increases a lot more when looking to book the vendors and venues you were considering during a weekday, rather than a weekend. Booking your wedding on a weekday helps ensure that you won’t be fighting for a slot during the popular wedding months. A weekday wedding allows you to breathe easy and relax knowing you can book the vendors you want, especially wedding videographers. Here are some incredible Airbnbs that you might score a deal for a weekday booking.

There are a lot of benefits of weekday weddings that appeal to wedding videographers. For one thing, there are usually fewer people vying for our attention on weekdays, which means we can focus more on the bride and groom. In addition, weekday weddings often take place at venues that are less crowded and more relaxed, making it easier to capture intimate moments on film. And because weekday weddings tend to be smaller and more intimate affairs, they provide an opportunity to really get to know the couple and their families. As a result, wedding videographers often find that weekday weddings are some of the most meaningful and memorable events they participate in, and love the wedding videos they create from them.

ELOPEMENTS

Weddings require a lot of planning. There’s so much that you as a couple have to worry about especially with the added societal changes in response to COVID-19. An elopement takes off a lot of the stress that you might have previously felt and allows both of you to focus on what really matters. Eloping or doing an adventure elopement while still having some planning and coordinating can be less stressful than a full wedding day. Hiring a good team to help you navigate eloping, getting the right documents, scheduling a slot for you to be married in a legal location, and being a fellow leave no trace vendor are key to having a great and successful elopement.

Modern-day elopements can last all day and can take place anywhere in the world! Imagine you and your significant other getting married on the cliffside of Ireland, or deep into the mountains, or on a small lake with the cutest little Airbnb. Plus some of the best wedding videographers are in these locations or have been dying to film an intentional wedding film in these dream locations.

Now imagine your wonderful day somewhere amazing, and having the most incredible wedding film that captures your vows, the scenery, and a timeless piece of art that you can show to your children’s children, and maybe even their children! I highly recommend looking into wedding videography services to capture your day.

A wedding video is one of the most important ways to capture your wedding day. Not only will it allow you to relive the memories of your special day, but it will also provide a way for your family and friends to share in the experience. And while wedding videography can be expensive, it’s worth the investment. A wedding video will capture all of the emotions of your day, from the excitement of getting ready to the joy of exchanging vows. It will also document all of the little details that you may not have even noticed on the day itself. In short, a wedding video is an essential way to preserve your wedding memories for years to come.

HIRING A UTAH WEDDING VIDEOGRAPHER

A wedding video is a lovely way to capture your wedding or elopement. It can be hard to remember all the details of your wedding day, and a wedding video can help you to relive the day and share it with others. If you’re considering hiring a wedding videographer, here are a few things to keep in mind. First, consider what style of wedding video you want. Do you want a traditional wedding video, or something more creative? Second, think about your budget. Wedding videographers can vary widely in price, so it’s important to find one that fits within your budget. Finally, take the time to meet with several different wedding videographers and choose the one whose work & editing style best captures your vision for your wedding day and whose philosophies you align with.

It’s my intention to give you some ideas that you may have not considered. Your special day can be just between you and a small, select group of people with the focus being on the union of you and your significant other. I hope that you found this information helpful and that no matter how big or small you decide for it to be you reach out to me today to help you plan the process.
